PlastiTrax® Polymers 

| Materials | 

All polymers used in our products originate from virgin polymer granulates (except PlastiTrax RealPlastix) to ensure reproducible and well-defined material properties. The use of pure raw materials enables controlled production of microplastic fragments with consistent polymer composition, density, and spectral characteristics, supporting reliable analytical applications and standardized method development.

| Density| 

All microplastic fragments are produced from prestine polymer granulates, ensuring well-defined and reproducible material properties. In particular, the polymer density plays a critical role in microplastic analysis, especially for density-based separation processes. By using pure source materials, the intrinsic densities of the polymers are preserved, enabling reliable evaluation of separation efficiency and realistic spectral signatures.

| Spectral Characteristics | 

To support reliable polymer identification, we provide example spectra for all polymers included in our reference materials. Spectra are available for download as FTIR transmission spectra and QCL-IR transflection spectra, allowing direct comparison across different measurement techniques.

| QCL Data | 

The following files contain QCL spectra acquired with the Agilent LDIR 8700 for all polymers used in our reference materials. Each .csv file includes three representative spectra of the corresponding polymer type.

The following files contain QCL spectra acquired with the ThermoScientific Nicolet iN10 MX for all polymers used in our reference materials. Each .csv file includes three representative spectra of the corresponding polymer type.
