QC Implementation Kit
The PlastiTrax® QC Implementation Kit is designed for laboratories aiming to implement automated QA/QC systems in microplastic analysis. It contains tablets with deuterated polymers (dPE and dPS), which do not occur naturally in the environment and can be clearly distinguished spectrally from conventional polymers.
This enables accurate recovery determination even in complex samples and sample preparation workflows, where background contamination with conventional microplastics is expected. By eliminating ambiguity in particle identification, the kit reduces bias and supports reliable, reproducible QA/QC processes.
It is particularly suited for laboratories seeking to establish robust quality control strategies, automate data evaluation, and ensure high data quality in challenging analytical scenarios.
Included Tablets:
1x PlastiTrax® QC(dPE; size class: 70-120 µm) => for spectral acquisition and database addition
1x PlastiTrax® QC(dPS; size class: 70-120 µm) => for spectral acquisition and database addition
1x PlastiTrax® QC(dPE and dPS; size class: 20-30 µm)
1x PlastiTrax® QC(dPE and dPS; size class: 30-70 µm)
1x PlastiTrax® QC(dPE and dPS; size class: 70-120 µm)
1x PlastiTrax® QC(dPE and dPS; size class: 120-200 µm)
Particle Count for each tablet: 50-150 (Exact particle number is found on the label (packaging) of each tablet)
Polymer Distribution: random; we guarantee the presence of each of the listed polymers (depending on tablet).

Individual Certificates of Analysis (COA) for the tablets can be provided for each order
Used Potassium bromide (KBr) as matrix substance is heated above 600°C for at least 48h to avoid any possible contamination (including microplastics).
If contaminations are found, these will be specifically noted on the label of each tablet.
