Analytical Services

Detection | Identification |  Quantification |

We offer tailored microplastic analyses precisely adapted to the requirements of your samples and projects. Using state-of-the-art infrared microscopy (FT-IR or Quantum Cascade Laser), we detect, identify, and quantify particles as small as 10 µmOur analyses provide detailed information on polymer type, particle size, and quantity within any matrix. Data evaluation is customized to your specific needs, ensuring reliable and meaningful results.

With our strong academic expertise, we guarantee the highest standards in laboratory practices, including rigorous quality assurance and control measures (QA/QC).

PlastiTrax® Reference Materials

Precise | Exact Particle Counts | User-Friendly |

Our PlastiTrax® reference and test materials set new standards for method validation and quality assurance in microplastic analysis. Each tablet contains a precisely determined number of microplastic particles that are individually characterized and documented on the label. By combining multiple polymer types within a single tablet, complex polymer mixtures can be realistically simulated, enabling significantly more efficient analyses.

In addition to conventional reference tablets, the PlastiTrax® portfolio includes specialized solutions for a wide range of analytical requirements. These include Artificial Test Samples, which reproducibly simulate realistic environmental matrices and enable targeted optimization of sample preparation strategies. For robust quality assurance, we offer QC tablets containing deuterated polymers, which act as internal standards for automated and unbiased recovery determination—even in complex matrices with background microplastic contamination. Complementing these materials, PlastiTrax® Real Plastix allows laboratories to work with microplastic particles derived from real consumer products, containing not only the base polymer but also typical additives such as pigments or fillers, thereby enabling particularly realistic testing of analytical methods.

PlastiTrax® combines innovative material development with the highest analytical precision, providing laboratories worldwide with a flexible, reproducible, and practical foundation for reliable microplastic analysis.
