PlastiTrax® kits combine several carefully configured tablets within a single set and are designed for different analytical applications. They support laboratories in initial product testing, structured method validation—for example according to ISO 16094-2—as well as in the implementation of transparent and reproducible QA/QC systems.
Depending on the kit configuration, they allow the systematic evaluation of recovery rates, polymer identification, and spectral quality, or the use of deuterated polymers for automated quality control.
PlastiTrax ® Test Kit
Contains five tablets with different polymer compositions, including deuterated polymers. Ideal for testing an analytical workflow and for the implementation of a structured QA/QC system in microplastic analysis.

PlastiTrax ® ISO 16094:2 2025 Extended Kit
Contains, in addition to the recovery tablets, further specially configured tablets for the determination of the Hit Quality Index (HQI) and the verification of polymer identification according to ISO 16094-2 (2025). The kit supports a comprehensive, standard-compliant validation of the entire analytical workflow in microplastic analysis.
In accordance with the ISO guideline, the kit also includes aged polymers, which are recommended to evaluate the robustness of polymer identification and spectral library performance when analyzing environmentally altered microplastics. This enables laboratories to verify that their analytical methods can reliably identify weathered or chemically modified polymer particles, as frequently encountered in real environmental samples.
