MIQALab started with a focus on infrared spectroscopy and its applications. This analytical technique is also a groundbreaking method in the analysis of microplastics. Our research findings have led to insights in quality assurance and various industrial sectors. These insights prompted us to take the technology from the lab to practical application. Even in the field of microplastics, there is still potential for improvement, especially regarding analytical methods (validation and standardization), as well as the physical effects and the removal or prevention of microplastics.
